When you take photos or export documents, your device often embeds hidden metadata inside the file. This can include your exact GPS coordinates, camera serial numbers, device model, creation timestamps, and author information. When you share these files online or via messaging apps, that metadata travels with them.

PrivyStrip allows you to inspect what hidden information is stored inside your files and create sanitized, metadata-free copies before sharing them.

All file inspection and sanitization are performed locally on your device. Your files are never uploaded to any external servers.

It includes a Before / After comparison tool. It scans both the original and the sanitized file using the same inspection engine to confirm that sensitive fields were removed.

It never overwrites or alters your original files. Sanitized files are saved as clean copies or shared directly to other apps through the Android share sheet.
