MATH DESERVES MORE THAN AN AI GUESS
Mathematics is one of Professor LLAS's biggest strengths. Formulas and calculation tasks are not simply handed to a language model and trusted blindly.

FormulaNet recognizes mathematical expressions. A dedicated deterministic math engine then parses and solves supported calculations using exact rational arithmetic, specialized solvers and result verification. Clear solution steps are generated and mathematical expressions are rendered with KaTeX.

The math engine covers arithmetic, fractions, decimals, percentages, powers, roots, algebra, equations, systems of equations, geometry, statistics, units, proportions and mixed calculations.

Math word problems take a different route: OCR reconstructs the task and the local AI interprets its context and question. This allows Professor LLAS to handle both mathematical expressions and written math problems with processing designed for each type.

Professor LLAS uses Gemma 3n locally for supported AI tasks. Homework processing is offline-first, and solving your assignments does not rely on a cloud AI service. Local AI, OCR and vision processing keep the core learning workflow on your device.
