Detailed description
A tribute to the square shock-resistant classic that started it all, rebuilt as a standalone Wear OS watch face — a 100% DIGITAL layout with no hands at all, where a live liquid-crystal panel fills the middle of the module: the day of the week and the MONTH-DAY date on the top row, AM/PM and the hourly time-signal mark in the middle band, and the big hours and minutes with the running seconds beside them along the bottom.
COLORWAYS
• Black — black case and dial with gold pushers, cyan "WATER 20BAR RESIST" and a pale grey LCD
• Grey — grey case with the lime and blue accent lines, red pushers and the classic khaki LCD
• White — white case and dial with pale grey printing, cyan pushers and a light grey LCD
FEATURES
• 100% DIGITAL — THERE ARE NO HANDS. No hour hand, no minute hand, no seconds hand, no subdials. The time is read off the LCD, exactly like the watch that inspired it
• A LIVE LCD PANEL, not a printed picture: the BIG HOURS AND MINUTES with their blinking-style separator, the RUNNING SECONDS in smaller digits right beside them, the DAY OF THE WEEK at the top left and the DATE as MONTH-DAY inside the frame printed on the module, in real LCD segment digits over the panel
• THE LCD FOLLOWS YOUR WATCH: set 12-hour or 24-hour time in your Wear OS settings and the panel switches with it. In 12-hour mode the leading zero stays blank and AM or PM lights up on the left, exactly as on the real watch; in 24-hour mode the leading zero is shown and AM/PM disappears
• A LIVE NOTIFICATION BELL: the small bell at the top left of the panel lights up by itself while you have unread notifications, and stays off when you do not
• THE FULL PRINTED MODULE, kept as on the real watch: "CASIO" and "WATER 20BAR RESIST" above the panel with "ILLUMINATOR" under them, "LED BACKLIGHT" below it, "ALARM", the SHOCK RESIST shield and "CHRONO" along the bottom, "G-SHOCK" and "PROTECTION" on the case, and the four side labels ADJUST, MODE, START/STOP and LIGHT with their pushers
• The hourly time-signal mark sits in the middle band on the right, printed as on the module
STYLES
Three in total, one per colorway: Black, Grey and White. Pick yours in the editor — the whole watch changes together, case, module, printing and LCD panel.
MORE
• Always-On Display (AOD) friendly: the case and the panel hide completely and only pale silhouettes of the hours, minutes, AM/PM, day and date are left on black, so the time stays legible — measured at about 4% lit pixels, far below Play's 15% limit. The seconds are deliberately left out of the AOD: in ambient mode the screen only refreshes once a minute, so a seconds counter would sit there frozen and wrong
• Standalone — no phone or companion app required
• Built with Watch Face Format for smooth performance and long battery life
• Wide device support: runs on Wear OS 5 and later (no blend modes required)
HOW TO CUSTOMIZE
Long-press your current watch face and tap Edit (or open the face from the picker), then choose your style — Black, Grey or White.
COMPATIBILITY
Wear OS 5 and later, round displays. No blend modes are used, so it runs across a wider range of Wear OS 5 devices — not limited to 5.1. The smartwatch itself is round: the square module is a graphic drawn inside the round screen.
