Al-Nassr Football Soccer Face

A digital watch face split down the middle in the club's yellow and navy, with the crest at the top — and it is written in Arabic.

The weekday and the month are Arabic words and every number on the dial is set in Arabic-Indic numerals: the clock, the date, the battery, your steps. It reads that way whatever language your watch itself is set to.

The clock carries no colon and no longer needs one. The hour and the minute sit one above the other, stepped across the dial in white, each over its own shadow.

The date reads down one side in two lines, right to left: the day and the month above, the weekday below.

Everything else the face writes is the club's own yellow — the date, the two readings and the battery gauge. Half of this dial is that same yellow, so the date and the clock are set over an outline rather than a drop shadow: where the ink and the ground are the same colour, closing the letterform on two sides is not enough and it has to be closed on all four.

Under the clock, your heart rate and your step count.

Round the outside, the day's steps against your goal, as a white ring. White rather than yellow, because the ring rides the rim — the one place this dial is dark the whole way round.

At the right-hand edge, the battery as five dots and a reading. When it falls to a fifth, the last dot and the number both turn white: on a dial whose ink is already the club's yellow, white is what is left to warn with.

TWO LAYOUTS, ONE FACE

Stacked is what it opens with — the clock described above. Classic is the other: one line across the middle, the hour set light and the minutes a weight heavier, with the date up under the crest. Long-press the face and pick Customise.

ON THE WRIST
The always-on display keeps the clock and drops everything else — dimmed, and drifting a few pixels each minute so no pixel carries a stroke for long.

Nothing else to set up. Install it, choose it, and it is the face.
